Invalid FTP host

I am constantly getting an "Invalid FTP host" error when I am testing the FTP settings of Chimpexpress. I'm sure I have entered the right information. It is a SFTP server, could this be the problem? I hope you have a solution for this because it's such a great plugin.

We appreciate that you like the plugin! FYI we're just finishing up a new version that does not need you to enter ftp credentials if it's possible to write directly to files. For example if you can install wordpress plugins without being asked for ftp credentials you don't need to enter them in ChimpExpress as well.
I need to look into the SFTP issue and will get back to you later on today.

I just tested it again on a sftp connection and everything seems to work fine.

The message invalid host means, that the host doesn't respond to the connection request.
Have you entered the host with sftp:// at the beginning? That might cause the error. Do not enter any protocol scheme at the beginning! For example enter: "myserver.example.com" (without quotes).

Yes I tried with and without the sftp:// at the beginning. I double checked the account name and password. I can connect with my webeditor and FTP program using these settings.

Anyway, thanks for checking SFTP. If there's something else I could try, please let me know.

When are you planning to release the new version? Can't wait to try it .
